HYSA Compare Editorial Team
HYSA Compare publishes under a collective byline: "HYSA Compare Editorial Team". This page explains why, who is legally responsible, how editorial decisions are made, and how to escalate a complaint or correction.
Why a collective byline
We operate as a small team and publish under a collective byline for the personal privacy of team members and so that content is judged on its evidence rather than on author celebrity. It's the same logic The Economist has used for its unsigned articles since 1843.
What we deliberately do NOT do: we do not invent fictional editors, do not use AI-generated faces, do not buy stock photos to fake a larger team than we are, and do not attribute opinions to people who don't exist. All of that would violate the FTC Rule on the Use of Consumer Reviews and Testimonials (16 CFR Part 465) and Google's E-E-A-T policy. Honesty is the differentiator.

How editorial decisions are made
Every APY, ranking and review goes through the following process. No shortcuts.
- Automated collection: the system reads the bank's own page once a day and records the current APY with a timestamp.
- Human verification: if the APY moves more than 10 basis points from the last reading, a team editor manually verifies it against the official bank page before publishing.
- Editorial review: every verdict, pros, cons and written review is drafted or reviewed by a human on the team. We do not publish AI-generated text without end-to-end human review.
- Public log: any subsequent correction is recorded in the public corrections log, with date, bank, what changed, and why.
Generative AI policy
We use AI tools as an assistant — for first drafts, information lookup, and grammar review — but never as a final author. Strict rules:
- Nothing is published until a human on the team has read it end to end and explicitly approved it.
- We do not generate editor faces, bios, or names with AI. If an editor doesn't exist, we don't invent them.
- When content is AI-assisted in its drafting, the human who approved it is the editorial owner — not the tool.
How to escalate a correction or complaint
If you find a factual error, an outdated APY, an incorrect FDIC certificate, or you believe something on the site is misleading, write to editorial@hysacompare.com. Our public SLA: data corrections within 1 business day, regulatory reports within 5 business days. A human on the team reads every email, every day.
Every correction we process is recorded in the public log at /en/correcciones, with date, affected field, previous value, new value, and the reason for the change.
Why this matters
The financial comparison industry is full of sites that invent editors with stock photos and AI-written bios to look more trustworthy than they are. We do the opposite: we tell you exactly what we are and what we are not. If you find that this page lies, write to the editorial email and we will publish the correction.
